James Hayden Rodriguez, Jim to some, Jimmy, Jimbo, Jam, Jamesie to others, is an American film/tv/theater actor from New York City.  His mother migrated from Puerto Rico to NYC in the 60s, while his father found his way from Birmingham, Alabama to NYC in the early 70s.  His parents, coming of age in the exciting and grungy underground music and art scene in the city, had no choice but to infuse those influences into James' upbringing.  He started singing and performing as early as he could walk and talk.  James and his mother moved to Virginia when he was 5, but he held on to those influences and eventually began acting at the age of 14.  He was also heavily involved in sports throughout his youth, winning many awards and setting school records in both Track & Field and Basketball.

James was awarded a full talent scholarship to Shenandoah University in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  There he majored in Acting, studying extensively both classical and modern techniques.  After graduating,  he traveled the country with regional productions and moved back to his birthplace, New York City.

New York opened up a new world of opportunities as started working in Theater, Film, Television, Commercials and Voice-Overs.

After almost a decade in NYC, James took his Hollywood dreams to the sunny city of  Los Angeles, CA where he currently resides.

James recently made his BROADWAY DEBUT starring in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical on October 16th, 2019.
